Hi. I joined to find a support group for Anxiety and Depression. I have struggles with these emotional issues all my life. I am just now trying to learn to overcome them and get more tools in my tool belt to fight with. Any helpful posts are welcome. I don't really know what to expect yet from this community, so I'll just say hi for now.

Hi chosen4673. Welcome to a caring and understanding community.
We are happy to have you here with us. I have spent many years struggling
with Anxiety as well as Agoraphobia. Medication and Therapy helped lay
the ground work in my going forward and not staying stuck. However, it
was the methods and tools that I achieved that were the "key" to my success.
We each have our own story to tell with our journey through mental health.
As you read the posts and responses you will find ways that may work for
you as well. My "go to" is YouTube. It's been very beneficial in finding tools
that worked for me. Meditation is my primary method in releasing stress and
anxiety. Stay Positive and you will find the help you so need. xx

Welcome. So glad you joined. I have been involved for a little less than a year. I get support here and learn quite a bit as well. Having tools to deal with mental challenges is so very important and so is knowing you are not alone.
Hi to you, too! So glad you are here....I have GAD and the last time anxiety took over my life it really helped to come here. Since then, suggestions people here made for reading, a medication that worked, and talk therapy helped. Now I have to be careful to avoid anxiety "triggers" in order to live peacefully. I'm sure you will find kind and non judgemental help here. Welcome! 💕
Thank you. I don't know if that is my problem (GAD), I used to be really depressed and have found a lot of useful ways to fight that. I am hopeful that I can get some help for anxiety now, here, as I haven't been able to get a counselor. Most people don't accept my insurance and I am unable to pay out of pocket. 😏
