No coincidence !
The universe.: No coincidence ! - Anxiety and Depre...
The universe.
Thanks for this G. I feel like I used to be more like this. The cynic in me would call it the naivety of youth. But maybe we just lose our way. Maybe there's too many distractions. Maybe we spend too much time looking at screens and not enough watching the world around us. We lose the sight of the signs and the patterns and , ultimately, the magic and joy. Drowned out by all the noise. The Taoists had it right. Be still. In your mind and your heart. Let the current carry you for a bit.
Yes I agree with you, sometimes the sheer noise of every day drowns out everything else - and it often is unbearable. Have you watched Chris Packham’s programme, not sure what it is called - Inside The Autistic Mind, or something like that. Four people who have autism are encouraged to « come out » to friends and family and it results in a 2 minute film - only 2 minutes - and the auditory sensory overload is terrifying for them. It certainly explained a lot. I was brought up in the days when the teacher was at the front and we had to sit like mice and well, just be taught and above all, listen. I was quite frankly appalled at first at the sheer noise level of classrooms when I helped out at the children’s schools and usually returned home with a considerable headache! I did bring this up with one of the teachers of my son’s class as there were 10 children in it with statements of special needs and the noise level was intense. She said it was good for our son to learn to work with lots going on around him. Um still don’t know what to make of that! But even now he always has a lot of noise around him, he actually like it!!
I think listening to the Universe is a matter of listening with both the "emotional mind" and the "rational mind" in a way that the two together become one "wise mind." Otherwise, you might misunderstand noise and coincidences as valuable when they are not and miss the real meanings behind more subtle ideas.
Indeed!
