Hey Universe No Thank You

Boston001 profile image

The Universe has tested me several times today, and I said no thank you very much, I don't feel like losing my S*** today. The weather is too nice to waste the day feeling anxious and annoyed, by all these obstacles that keep getting tossed in my way. So I wave with all five fingers and smile back at you Universe, try your luck tomorrow.

I get what you are saying, the hot sunny day we are having today is an anomaly. April is our cool and rainy season, with chances of frost in the mornings. Nice days like today come at the end of May

Indeed it's been frightening how much changed with my mom from 80 to 90. Not sure what happen first my brother passing away or her turning in her last car. Almost seems like overnight she stop shopping, going out to get her hair done, all that normal stuff we take for granted, then came the walker, and now she moves from her room to the TV room and back. Last week I took her to the tax guy and it took us 10 minutes to get her from our front door up the 8 steps to the TV room

Self-care is oh so important. We need to rest, eat balanced meals, and do the chores we need to live in a healthy living space. Only then can we meet our challenges from a fresh new start tomorrow.

True. I’m not eating much or resting much these days. I’m going to see if I can work on that.

I have been fascinated with all insects for as long as I can remember. I have sat for hours hypnotized watching a trail of ants moving back and forth with food

Starrlight profile image
Starrlight in reply to Boston001

Me too! It’s amazing how insect’s instinct tells them exactly what to do… and such hard workers. I think the most interesting thing I’ve heard about ants is that they bury their dead.

Boston001 profile image
Boston001 in reply to Starrlight

😲I did not know that, so cool!

Starrlight profile image
Starrlight in reply to Boston001

Yeah I wonder how they think and what all they feel when burying.

Starrlight profile image
Starrlight in reply to Starrlight

I just looked that up- so the reason is to prevent contamination of the rest of the colony

Ants (as well as bees and termites) bury or dispose of their dead but..: it’s not out of mourning like humans. It’s a self preservation instinct they have so disease doesn’t spread to, and kill, their colony.

Very good connection the universal language always resolves back if you go with positive vibes revolve it is would you believe emotional integrity, resonating the higher thought perspective gives feed to the emotion awareness and awakening when it’s purposeful and as a meaningful spiritual bliss outcome wow aha moment again empowering belief 🙄☀️🌈🚴🏽‍♂️🤹

Good morning. I don't know if you really think that the universe is trying to do bad things to you or if that is just a metaphor, but I do believe that things, both good and bad, happen by chance. I think you did absolutely the right thing in just not allowing yourself to worry about things, some of which may be out of your control anyway.

As far as the weather goes there's going to be a lot of anomalous weather over the world because of climate change. Storms and tornadoes and floods and so forth that used to be labeled as "once in 1000 years" events are pretty soon going to be happening once every 10 years if not sooner.

Anyway, enjoy your day.

The Universe we live in is a strange place. I am and always will be a person who believes that everything follows a set of rules in physics. Have had learning disabilities my entire life I am not a math person, but if I am driving, cycling or just tossing a ball I have an innate ability to calculate and predict physical states and reactions without much effort, and I am not alone. I think we all poses a super math genius in our heads. If you can walk out your door, get on a bus, get off the bus, and play an unbelievably bad game of basketball, then return home the same way, You can do something that the smartest people in the world today can't teach to a robot tried to a supercomputer to do. So yes that's how my thought process works every day of the week and so I am not a spiritual believer. That said I have seen Karma in action! It really is a battle between good and bad and more often than not bad will win, because of the third law of thermodynamics, or something I will never understand. But bad is so much easier than good. Here's a thought experiment I use to explain good vs bad. Right down a columned list of bad things you can do today, As a hypothetical example, and not in any way shape, or form am I thinking of doing these things. You could intentionally crash your car, you could go into a market and push everything off the shelves onto the floor, you could go into a bank and demand that they give you all the money, you could walk up to a police officer and knock their hat off and call them names, you could do many unspeakably bad things today that would have a Universally negative effect on your life. Now make a list of ten good things you can do today, that would take the same time and effort as the bad things, that will have an equally opposite positive effect on your Universal well-being. The Universe tosses bad shit in my path all the time because it just happens by nature, not a supernatural causality. But my biggest challenge every day is choosing how I am going to react to these obstacles. Am I going to take the easy road of more bad, or will I row upstream?

I heard that "once in a thousand year" phrase last night on the news when they were talking about the flooding in Florida.

I liked your response, and the concept of choosing what to do. You might be interested in reading Stoic philosophers, because they have a similar philosophy (it’s also easy to read.)

As far as the “once in 1000 years“ comment, I know exactly what you’re talking about because I live in Southwest Florida and we are going to be recovering for at least two years.

I think it is great that you have found a way to exercise some control over your quality of life and related choices. My personal experience is that adding your intent to the formula helps by pushing yourself on those tough days to do something positive for yourself.

The universe has only so much power and you hold the rest, through exercise, therapy and maybe medication. Give yourself some credit because you deserve it!
