Easter Day is a time of new beginnings ,a time to refresh our minds and our thoughts.

Whether you have a faith or not, its a time when spring is sprung and we see the gardens awaken from their Winter slumbers, and the birds are singing and we can reflect on whats gone by but with renewed hope for the future.

To me Easter Day is the most special time of the year, much more special than Christmas,a time when i feel more energized for hope for the rest of the year and with a spring in my step i can go forward and not be bogged down in the past and i can sing in the rain.

Today I prefer to spend most of this Easter Day alone, doing a few mundane things of little importance, pottering in the garden, defrosting the freezer,etc etc, but with a determination that life will improve, because our life is in our own hands, and know that we can make changes for the better, for sometimes we all need alone time to think and ponder.

However i will be going to friends today for afternoon tea, and luckily its only a short walk away, for the thoughts of driving when the traffic becomes a nightmare is something i cant abide.

We're not doing anything special this year. I went out for coffee and cake this morning - the sun is shining and its a beautiful day here. I found some dandelions growing in the garden. Dylan loved them 😊🐰
