hi everyone! As you probably already know I struggle with health anxiety this weekend I was in Boston hanging out with friends and last night while we were at our Airbnb I got a really bad stomach ache which caused me to become extremely anxious. This morning I woke up and felt better after having a panic attack last night but my stomach still hurts somewhat. I came home and slept for a couple hours and now I’m going to my dad‘s house to celebrate his birthday. I haven’t eaten much all day and my stomach still kind of hurts but I can’t tell if it’s due to anxiety. I don’t feel sick despite my stomach hurting. The stomach ache is really my only symptom I was wondering if any of you get stomach aches when you’re anxious? Are usually get nauseous but not stomach pain so I was just wondering. The pain isn’t awful it’s a slight pain which makes me think that maybe I am causing it and it’s all in my head

Hi Daisy425
I'm sorry you are not feeling well. My anxiety shows up in my stomach. I get pain, nausea, dry heaves and vomiting.
Did you eat something that may have caused it? Just wanted to ask
Also tell me, how was your cold visit to Boston?

hi!
I’m thinking maybe since I ate unhealthy food all day yesterday it upset my stomach as during the week I tried really hard to eat clean. Boston was very cold! We did all indoor activities so we didn’t have to freeze for too long!
That makes sense. Loading up on the "good"stuff that isn't healthy may have done it. Are you feeling any better now?
I live near Boston so I was curious how being here on the Arctic weekend went for you
I hope you were able to stay warm! It feels better now. I’m just still anxious that it will start hurting again
It as a horrible weekend but temps are back up
I'm glad it feels better. I can understand the anxiety. We anticipate feeling that way again and our minds work overtime.
Keep an eye on it. If it persists you should see your Dr for a check up.

Yes, i get pain & nausea from panic attacks. Pretty bad sometimes, too. Tylenol will sometimes help me, so try that if possible. I also take an OTC motion sickness pill if i get nausea. It has taken several weeks to get normal again. The problem is there's so many possibilities that could cause stomach pain (the balance of different types of bacteria in your stomach is common when going from healthy foods for a period of time to junk food, for example), & it could also be psychosomatic. Anxiety is the most likely cause, if u had panic/anxiety recently, IMO. If it doesn't get better after a couple weeks, it would be best to see a doctor, but most people will heal before a couple weeks are passed, & i think u will, too. I hope u feel better soon.
