Numb on fluoxetine?

I was taking Venlafaxine before and I was going through a lot of depression crisis, I mean, at first I was okay but after my parents divorcing and my mother calling cops to my dad saying that he beated her while she was the one that cheated on him and was being violent, she manipulated me and my father for years and we only realized that now, this year. I moved out to other state bc of a opportunity of job to my husband, but then we stayed on his mother's until we could find a place, the thing is that my mother-in-law hated me for not being much of a social person or ppl pleasing, she got to the point of making me hate my life so much while I was on her place that I tried several times to kill myself this year, cutting, pills, thinking about drowning on the city's river, when we discussed she said I could kill myself that nobody would care about it.

When I came to this town I was expecting to have some kind of maternal bond with my mother-in-law and all this disappointment sucked. I was hurted for months, now I am w my hb on an apartment and I finally get peace but I hate this city not only bc of my suffering but bc is a place with nothing and to do a simple grocery shopping or get my birth control I have to plan days before cuz the busses take minimum 1 hour to show up and they stop showing up at 7:00 PM, there's no place to go out and try to cheer up.

I really don't know if I'm feeling like this cuz this city drives me crazy or feeling numb, and not wanting to live could be from the 40mg of fluoxetine I'm on, usually I'm really emotional and I have no problem with that but nowadays I've been so cold and distant emotionally... I guess I already passed 1 month of fluoxetine w this dose and all I feel is going down and going back to depression. I have been really dedicated to eat healthy to help any issues but my stomach is so full all the time, I feel no pleasure on eating anymore.

I would speak with your psych about possibly switching to an SNRI instead of an SSRI. Just a thought based on the numbness.
