I only just joined this online community so I don't even know if this is an appropriate topic but I appreciate you, thanks for reading.
This post is geared towards women.
My anxiety is always in the front seat, but is super intensified alongside my period.
My "PMS" is more of a constant , overwheming raging panic attack. My blood pressure stays elevated, which only increases my anxiety and of course, my BP. Which puts me in fear of stroking out, so I keep my propranolol and xanax on deck just in case. I focus on mindfulness and my breathing techniques but i'm left with more panic because of deep breathing induced heart palpitations ? I realize this is PROBABLY because I am slowing my heart rate down and such but is there anyone out there that can tell me i'm not alone in this?
I have a cardiologist- mitral valve prolapse. I have a echo in a few weeks, and just recently got my heart monitor off ,so i will have more medical answers soon.. i've been to ER many times with chest pain but always told to go home, that it's "just anxiety". I always feel like i'm dying. My throat feels like its full and heavy and I get all of this pressure in my neck, my throat, my head and chest. hell, even my ankles and feet. My toes and feet even turn blue, regularly.
I really just need to feel less alone with this right now to be honest, just curious if anyone else experiences this extra intensity with their change in hormones and what you, or doctors may have said about it to you. My primary doctor and hospital has ran every test known to man, and all of everything just says flat out, "NORMAL" i do NOT feel "NORMAL" I've been living like this for years so i know i'm not dying at the moment, but, its just, well, getting worse with age, and i just flat out hate it.
thanks again.
