Unfortunately Trainchaser, even with a positive event in our lives, we need to realize

that life does go on and is not always smooth. We have to know that stopping or lowering

our dosage of medication can cause us to go into a tailspin when stress does reappear.

Many of us who are on medication wish it didn't have to be but it needs to be done safely

and slowly. There should also be another method practiced so that you are not left in a

glitch should anxiety/depression raise it's ugly head again.

For myself, I have many tools in my back pocket that I can choose to use anytime life hands

me lemons. Of course, along the way, I learned how the power of my mind can make a big

difference in how I decipher the anxiety as critical or just a passing phase that is testing me.

I'm happy you are here with us to vent, to ask questions or just get support. Know that you are never alone with your feelings. This is the place to ramble as much as you need to :) xx

Thanks for the quick reply. On some level I know titration of meds would be gradually done. Have an appointment to see my PCP next month. I have tried a couple of psychiatrists but they closed thier practice. I trust my PCP.

I agree with Agora. Very slow taper with meds especially benzos. I am still trying to rid myself of my small dose . I am taking it very slow and with patience and not beating myself up, I will succeed. Best to you both 💕

If your medication is working for you why quit it unless there are side affects that are causing you issues.
