I certainly believe in the power of music and it is wonderful how people with Alzheimer’s can suddenly remember the words of a favourite tune or hymn. One lady in the old peoplé’s home I used to visit suddenly came to life during the Christmas carols and started singing, she generally never had spoken up till then.
