I'm a young individual that's at the start of her career as a collegiate running coach in New York while also suffering from severe anxiety that disrupts my daily life. I have a very supportive partner and we've been married for 4 years with both sets of divorced parents (makes the holidays extremely fun ;)) I'm a competitive runner myself which is helpful as running is a natural reliever. However, I find it extremely hard to simply travel away from my home. It's my safe space. Traveling on the subway, meeting friends in the city, and going to work have been giving me worries and anxiety as stressors. More recently, I passed out from an anxiety attack and am looking to seek techniques as I haven't been diagnosed with anything from a licensed professional (in the process). My baby corgi and my partner are my whole world and I know they'd be happy if I found self peace and healthy ways to fight my anxious ways.

Hi, I’ve been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, so I know all about that high anxiety around other people. I also have PTSD, which makes it even harder to be around other people. But then I get manic with my Bipolar and I need to be around other people, so things get very interesting very very quickly. There’s no easy fix with anxiety. You have to take what is going on in your life, use some different coping skills until you find one(s) that work for you. It’s a journey we are all on for ourselves.
Hi and welcome! I'm in the process of learning how to deal with new symptoms myself.
