Hate my body 😩
it can definitely be difficult to love your body. Last year I gained a ton of weight and was the heaviest I’d been in my life. I was small all the way through college and then I tipped the scales the first time at 28 and haven’t come back from it since then. Part of learning to love it is actually thinking about what it does for you. Think of all the positive functions rather then how it looks. For instance, I’m glad I can digest food and absorb nutrients. Seems trivial but I find that it helps, I hope I helped even if only a little. ♥️
To love your body is not only to realize that you've always been beautiful, but to realize that everyone is beautiful, period! And no, I don't mean beautiful "in their own way", I mean beautiful with nothing else attached.
Honestly, I personally think it's backhanded to say everyone is beautiful "in their own way", because it's a subtle way of saying "you're unattractive, but I don't want you to feel bad about it". But that's just not true.
If we can't see that, then we're no better than animals who choose only the most "attractive" of their species...
So I'll say it again, we're all beautiful, period! No matter what kind of so-called "extremity" or so-called "blemish" we have, they all add character. They don't subtract from you, they add to you, if that makes sense.
I just hope we all see it like that one day
