This is my first day here so I’m a little nervous. I have social anxiety so it’s difficult to talk to people. I get shaky and I talk really low when I talk to people. I also get anxiety attacks in public if I’m around a lot of people.

Hello
Welcome!!! I hope you get some help here.
Hello 👋, welcome to the group.Don't worry, you can talk as low as you want and we will still hear you
You have anonymity on this forum so you do not have to worry as much about being shy or anxious. Since nobody knows you, feel free to invent a stronger more confident you while you interact.
Welcome.
The nice thing about sharing here is your anonymous... nobody knows anything about you other than what you choose to share, and your not alone.
Hello and welcome..
I hope this place helps you along...
You like art, that's interesting.
Hello and welcome to the group, hope it helps you. I had social anxiety for years although I had no clue what was wrong with me. Knowing what is going on for you and what your issues are is a step in the right direction.
Thank you, I’ve been going to therapy for about a month now and she recommended this to me. You all have been so kind and welcoming to me. It feels nice to open up to people you understand.🙂
You're welcome. As you are finding out, SA is an error in our perception of what others think and perceive about us and what we believe about ourselves. I use to think that people didn't like me and was astounded to find out just the opposite was true, that people really did like and enjoy my company. That started me on my road to recovery. One of the other things was finding out that people with SA typically also suffer with low-self-worth and low-self-esteem of which I did. We were never taught how to love and have compassion for ourselves and were even shamed and punished for trying to do so and even for trying to stand up for ourselves as I was. There is a lot of good info on youtube about healing your self worth and I also found a program called Break Free by Dr. Bernadette Sewell that I found very helpful. My best to you in your healing journey. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
