Today for the most part was a really good day. But sometimes after work I just feel like crying. When I sit down and have too much time to think is when things are the hardest.

Overthinking
Down time is always when our minds turn on us. We aren’t distracted enough to ignore the mean voices.
I have two immediate thoughts, or suggestions.
1. Have you tried to list positive things about yourself?
I keep a tidy home. I am a true friend. I can crochet. My cat loves me. Etc…
If a negative thought comes in, and they will, try to flip it and go back to the positive.
For example:
I didn’t get the report perfect. Well it was on time and factual.
I never get anything right. But I am a good person and try my best.
That woman upset me and I got frazzled. But I didn’t throw a stapler at her head.
No, It doesn’t come naturally but neither is the self loathing that comes with the silence of the night.
2. Stay busy. I find short funny videos put me on a better mood. A favorite book or TV show maybe. Others use exercise but I’d rather have ice cream. Whatever works for you.
You are in a rough spot, but you aren’t alone. Sending a hug your way.
Thank you.
I can totally relate to this. This has been happening to me a lot recently and I feel like I am going down a rabbit hole. When it starts what is happening? What are your triggers?
There are a few things that trigger mine. I am trying to figure it out as I go. Mostly I try to stay busy.
"When I sit down and have too much time to think is when things are the hardest. "
That could be time for a possible to-do list, and then start checking things off as they get done.

Do you have any hobbies?
Do you have any hobbies that are fun?
I have a small homestead that keeps me busy. I do like to learn more about farming, frugal living and budgeting. I also read a lot. I watch a little tv, but I don't watch a lot. I enjoy history. Just went to a national park yesterday. It was nice to get some hiking in.
