Met someone, help!

I have recently met a new man. He is six years older and I am in better health. I had a verbally abusive brother, and husband, I have been alone a long time to raise my two kids. I have dated but there was never the right connection.

With this man there is a connection and he is genuine. My dilemma is do I continue to get involved when he is clearly what I’m looking for despite poorer health or do I leave because I want someone (who I may never find), who is genuine kind etc. but also equally physically able?

It seems a very unfair dilemma but I guess i will figure out what my heart wants and follow it.

Any advice welcome. Thanks for reading this 👋

My advice is follow your ❤️. I'm not sure the degree of his physical ailments but the way I look at it is a short time with someone who treats you the way you should be treated is better than no time. Accept him for who he is. He is not his illness, just like we are not ours. We have more parts to us, more that we bring to the table. If things evolve enjoy the positives.

I think it depends on how bad his health is and what type of problems he is having. If he is likely to become an invalid in the near future and is really just looking for someone to take care of him, then I would not marry him. On the other hand, there are many health problems, including serious ones that can be well managed. If this is the case, I would go on with the relationship.

In any event, you don't have to Make a decision right now. I would just try to enjoy the relationship and see how things go.

Thank you for your reply. I agree with what you said. I have to go with the fact the he treats me better than any other man has.
