Has anyone had to mute someone from their chats? I had to do that today. Their words hurt me and I could not take it. I thot this was a friendly site but now I'm not sure. This is the only person I've had issues with. Everyone else has been great.

This is a safe place but you always get 1 or 2 like this online. It's just the nature of the beast.

Online forums will always attract the odd troll. There is no way to avoid it. That's why we have admins and mods to protect us against them. This is why platforms like HU exist to give more security and protection against them.
I see admin told me I was at fault. They didn't investigate it at all. I sent them what they said to me and the name they called me.😒
Did they actually send you a pm saying it was your fault? I am surprised as they very rarely reply to anyone.
Yes they did. I muted them and it's saying I have messages but no one there. So I'm thinking they are still messaging me. I'm not falling for it.
I have never heard of admin sending any messages like that! It's not them trying to message you but it sounds like the one you muted. Will you put up a copy here of what admin said please?
It won't let me copy or paste.It something to the effect that some of my contributions were inappropriate for HU.
It said I should read terms of conditions of HU.
It was signed the HU team.
Ah I see. It's from HU which is very different than from the admins.
I can't comment as I haven't seen any posts from you which haven't been fine so I don't know what they are talking about.
I would however read the rules and conditions of posting as that way it will help you avoid them in the future.
There are certain types which aren't considered suitable eg political ones, religious ones etc. But it's usually done in the interests of the majority.
I know posts which ask for things like ways to kill yourself are taken down for example as they could trigger others here.

I did send in the chats that we had together. One of them they called me a crazy b**tard. That got me down. Never have I ever been called that ever.

It’s fine to block or mute. If this is the same incident posted before…the other person has no idea why you muted them. Clearly a misunderstanding which is not uncommon in text form. So maybe not post about it unless you can tell them why? Doesn’t sit right with me.

No. It doesn't upset me. I'm over it now. I unfollowed the person so I don't see anything from them anymore.

I won't say they're horrible. But no, I hope you find the best people to talk to. There are so many great people to talk to. You can't block them completely but you can mute them from chat and just unfollow and hope you don't see any of their posts. Welcome and good luck!!

Hi Mute, welcome to our friendly community, I’m sorry to say you will always find someone who upsets the majority of members….. if someone upsets you or is abusive, you can click on the Report button under their post, HU Admin willl give them a warning but they won’t tell them who complained.Try to have a nice day.

I'm sorry you were hurt. I have had to do that and it's not fun. Just remember we are here for each other. Occasionally someone is hurtful but they can leave!
I muted them and they asked me not to reply to their forum. I haven't replied as I don't want any issues.
Take care of yourself first. This is on them not you. You've done nothing wrong.

HU sent me a letter saying I was inappropriate on here. It was the second time I've muted them. I think they forgot I was "Imnotright" before I changed name to "Itzallgood1".
