Hi there. I am just starting 5mg of Lexapro and wondering best time of day to take it? I have heard there are some bad anxiety side effects and insomnia depending on when you take it. I am starting it because of anxiety and don’t need anymore.

hi most of the feedback suggests taking it in the morning does it not say on your script.

It just says once daily. Spoke with pharmacist and they said either morning or night, up to me. I just want to take it at the best time of day to avoid whatever side effects it has.

hopefully you`ll be ok once you start.

I started with taking it around noon, then moved to the evening. I didn't have side effects, but I thought it was a good way to segue into bedtime.
