Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

My psychiatrist has recommended TMS, as I've tried several antidepressants with little to no effect. It sounds a little scary to me. Anyone have any experience with this? Anyone have any thoughts, good or bad, about TMS? Thanks.

Hii, I have gone through rtms treatment. It's a comfortable treatment...please don't be scared.😀.if your antidepressants are not working..its the best option with high rate of success.it will really help you.you will start seeing affects after 10-15 sessions.good luck with your treatment.let me know if you have any more questikns

I became treatment resistant to meds and TMS has been my treatment of choice the past couple years. Have been through 3 rounds and had great results each time. Am still doing well. It's a noninvasive treatment, 5x/wk for 6-7 weeks, each treatment after the first is only about 20 minutes and afterwards you can go about your day. My therapist has clients that have been in remission for a couple years following treatment. As with any treatment results vary. I highly suggest giving it a try! It literally saved my life at one point.
