I’m sure you will all be able to relate with this struggle in one way or another with depression. Not only is it play so hard on my mental but physical too. Last 2 weeks I was getting at least 2 days a week of walking in and this week well nothing but changed doctors both primary and Endo to one doctor so did get that accomplished but spent a couple days in bed just reading as I am today too And tomorrow suppose to go walk around Saturday market with a girlfriend and just can’t see that happening. Don’t feel like putting a fake smile on and being around crowds My laundry is pulling up house needs cleaning and paperwork needs to be addressed and need to gather stuff for tax guy ugh and all this is so overwhelming! I know one thing a day but man this week seemed to just go backwards all together . Any advice ?

Well, my only advice is: Try and get up and take one step at a time. Don't stress it. I bet you can get it all done by next week if you start today! Good Luck!

I try to use mini building blocks to pull me out and sometimes what worked last time won't work this time so I have to sort of trick or distract myself in order to take the next step. For example, I care more about others than I do myself so being there for someone important to me gives me a good serotonin boost. I also like self-care things for this that remind me I have value like painting my nails or doing a face mask. It's low commitment (only 5-10 minutes of my time) and I always feel better after. Pick one small task for today that you know will make you feel good once you're done. Even if it's a slog and you take 20 breaks in between, you'll feel better after. Just keep repeating until your head catches up with you. :)

At least you are able to read,l find it hard to concentrate on an actual book. You are practising self care, well done. That old laundry will pile up though. Its one thing l do keep on top of,but get so darned bored of.

Otherwise , l feel you need to rest, rest. I'm lucky to have 2 productive days each week

I like to prioritize. What's the most important thing I have to get done today? If I have that down, I can go back to moping, crying, dying, and sleeping. Or at least, it feels like it. I'm someone with lots of anxiety and I honestly burn myself out a lot, so my suggestion is to just take a break. Go far far away from the mess (it might sound controversial) but get some fresh air and clear your state of mind. Take care of yourself before you try taking care of other messes and let alone other people.
