I get social anxiety. Just today I had to lead a call with my group at work and the stress levels are so high. After the call, my stomach is acting up and I kept going to the bathroom to try and vomit.
Nobody's hating on me or pressuring me to be perfect. I know it's in my head but I can't shake it out. Even with simple questions my hands get cold and my heart races. I feel so dumb and like a loser.
Is this normal? Sometimes i feel like i want to take jobs that do not require me talking to anyone.

A break is needed, do you really enjoy your job, be realistic about this, maybe a complete change? These times are especially hard, speaking from experience from an old dog like myself, full retirement in a couple of weeks, sharp intakes of breath! Good luck!🙃👍
I had social anxiety for years. I suggest you find a therapist who specializes in treating it so you can learn why and how you developed it and such a distorted and erroneous belief about your self. SA is maladaptive thinking and behavior and you need to learn new tools and skills and beliefs about yourself to heal and recover from it. If there isn't a therapist near you, there are online programs available. I used a program from socialanxietyinstitute.org/. I also used the DARE Anxiety book and phone app and their youtube videos. You can heal and recover from SA but you have to commit to getting help and being persistent in your healing journey. It's definitely better to heal and recover than it is to just live with it.
