I hope everyone in the UK is okay. Just read about the bad storms, flooding and power outages. What a winter everywhere! I’ll be thinking of you all.

I had never known a storm as bad as the one yesterday!

Yesterday I cancelled my walk outside as it was too dangerous but managed to get out today instead which I enjoyed in spite of the wind and rain!

Indoors yesterday I caught up with some cooking which I enjoyed.

That’s what my newsfeed said. It was a very rare type of storm with really bad wind. Glad you are ok.

It has been a bit extreme this winter, although we did get a lull for a couple of weeks after the first two, which mainly hit Scotland and the North, then we got Ciara and Dudley which also tended to target the North. Lots of electricity breakdowns, and Trees down.

The latest was Eunice, which targeted the whole of England, Wales and Southern Scotland, as well as Ireland. and was the first to really ramp up to Red Warnings for Wales, The Westcountry and London and the Southeast. It was pretty insane. It has now moved on into the Continent, where The News reports 16 fatalities so far in Europe. In the UK we are picking up the pieces. Only 3 fatalities here, and another in Ireland.

We are now expecting Storm Franklin, driven by a jetstream of up to 200MPH! Won't be that strong on the ground, though, thank goodness!
