So I woke up today in a great mood, got up early had coffee then got ready for work then my grandma woke up got her a coffee and she was being so mean and rude she completely killed my great mood by pointing out everything I'm doing wrong in life and said that I looked bad today like sorry I really only get to wear 1 outfit because I work almost all day everyday to support her and my hair is in a half ponytail because I want it up but not all of it will go up and she said it looked stupid most people can shrug it off but I have confidence issues and she knows that so I escaped to work to get away from her for awhile. But let me leave with this my works station has never been so clean. (I clean when I'm stressed or upset) but I am bound and determined to make this day better again

I am sorry you have to deal with this. I know sharp, mean , disapproving comments can ruin your day.

I too in the past experienced that from a mother - in- law. I remember l would be both hurt and fuming.

She didn't really mean to be unkind, that was just her way.

I think they felt superior to us because of age, which is unfair.

Everyone has their own way of doing things.
