Don’t know anymore

I just don’t know what’s wrong with me. I just feel so unstable. I’m waiting on a call from a mental health team that I’ve been waiting on since the 8th of December. I have severe anxiety and panic disorder. I now struggle with what I think is major depressive disorder. I also have ocd and obsessive intrusive thoughts and a serial over thinker. I just feel so useless. I have a chronic pain condition. It makes my anxiety sky rocket daily. I react so badly so medication. I feel so isolated and alone. I’m exhausted. I constantly compare myself to others as I’m in my early twenties and before falling unwell I was so bubbly and fun and had a good career going. I haven’t worked in a year. I feel like I’m a failure.

I have most all those things myself , its depression. I can manage it most days but it takes work. I have to walk 20 min, read spiritual books, write in gratitude journal, dont drink, and I take supplements for depression.

I noticed people are bad about calling back nowadays, maybe you should call them again.

I can relate so well to what you're saying. I wish I could say something to cheer you up, I am in a very low place myself. Just don't give up. You still have a lot of life ahead of you and we never know what's ahead. This too, shall pass.

Hi, there.

You know a lot of the current anxiety is the result of our nervousness about Covid?

Most of our uncertaincies are due to the lockdowns and restrictions placed upon us in order to combat this darned illness over the last two years.

It has made all of us with depression in one form or another, fearful of encountering the disease which is keeping us away from people, and making us lonely, yet more afraid of going out, in fact we are getting more fearful as the pandemic apparently lessens it's grip on us.

A lot of it is due to us not really having any indoor hobbies or pastimes.

Hope this helps a bit.

Cheers, Midori

If help doesn't call you back, Be persistant and call them. Please stay on your symptoms. Can cause suicidal feelings when you don't get assistance.. Stay vigilant and get the help you deserve. Wish you well. This crazy Covid is causing so many with marginal mental health issues to ignore their health... Depression is a real thing, a physical illness I'm a lifetime depression sufferer. Personally I would recommend Vit D3 up to 5000IU a day, Vit E Vit C, Zinc supplements.

Hi

Is it possible for you to choose a goal, and push all of your thoughts to one side, focus on the goal and achieve it?

Sadness is stronger than happiness. try to convert this energy into actions, something productive. And Don't compare yourself to others

Hope you are ok, I’m much the same. At the moment going to the gym seems to help me focus myself on something other than my mood, is there something similar you could do? I believe the more I dwell on it the more down I become x

I understand your struggles. I, too, have a mood disorder, OCD, and ADHD. Some days it’s so hard to just feel good enough to get up and do simple things like this blows the dishwasher. Further, I think I’ve been pretty unplugged from life around me…it feels like everyone else is moving on with their lives and making progress and I’m just stuck.

I just joined here and wanted to answer you. Even 2 months later. My daughter was like you all well and bubbly, in her twenties with a good career path. December 6 she was diagnosed with an disease and she will never be well again a day in her life. I cant imagine what you and she is going thru. But I am having a terrible time dealing with her illness. And I will be thinking about you.

Hi, just taking the medication without psycotherapy/counseling isn't really helpful to deal with mental health issues. You should consult a medical professional, and also do try coping strategies to live a better life. Just don't lose hope with time and therapy it will be gone just keep your morale high and get your treatment done. Try to take part in surrounding activities and don't hold back your feelings share them with your friends and family.I am sure you will be fine.

I also have hospital anxiety I will do coping techniques to overcome it and it works for me.

Show yourself self compassion your doing the best you can and that's OK for now until u feel better. Its not a crime to have some mental health issues and to me your a survivor because dealing with these issues ever day is exhausting but you keep on going regardless . Be kind to yourself your own best friend and give yourself time .your not alone in these things. Sending you a virtual hug 💚💚💚
