I am 20 years old and have bipolar depression. My life is now worthless, I don't care about my health and myself, also am overthinking of everything , my mood is very volatile and I can't control it. I lost many of my loved ones because of it, and I have severe insomnia sometimes I can't sleep for about two days. I'm so tired, I don't know what to do?!

Hey! I’m 20 too. I turn 21 next week. I honestly feel a similar way you do. It’s hard for me to not feel like my life is pointless. I don’t have any friends I can share my thoughts with, they’re kinda tired of my cynical worldview. I don’t blame them. So I relate with you in that sense, even if I don’t know everything you’re going through. I would like to tho. You’re loved and valued. If you want to talk, I’m here to listen. And I’m not just saying that.
Hi Baraa sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with bipolar. Are you on mood stabilisers and antidepressants which are usually prescribed by your psychiatrist you might find that with the correct meds you will feel a whole lot better.
Please get medical help asap and if you already have, make sure you take the meds, it will take a while for them to work as I am sure you know. I am bipolar too - it took a long time to get a diagnosis but I was relieved in a kind of way to know what it was. There is a course you can do online - it is free - from Cardiff university. It is called bepc and is very good as it tells you and explains to you all about bipolar x
Were you diagnosed bipolar? There are other things that could explain your symptoms including self induced drugs and alcohol as well as an especially volatile puberty. There are also other medical reasons too. You don’t want that diagnosis if you can avoid it but it could be that some meds may help. Have you seen a doctor?
