Trouble at work and depression

I'm struggling dramatically at work to the point where it's unbearable and I find myself in an OCD loop in my head that everyone is being mean to me or bullying, and that I'm the shark bait. I really want to quit, but I need another job before I do. Has anyone been in this situation and is anyone able to talk about it with me? Please let me know or send me a DM. Thanks so much.

Hi Ramon, I have never been in the position that you are but I can tell youI would never allow myself to work in a hostile environment. You don't

deserve to be belittled as you are each day.

Before they break your spirit completely, I agree you need to leave.

I hope you find something soon. This is a situation that you need not

accept. Good Luck, keep us updated please. :) xx

Thank you so much Agora! It is definitely a hostile work environment, but now I feel so defeated that I've lost confidence and think I'm not smart enough to succeed anymore. I hope I can get out of this negative feedback loop soon. Thank you again so much for responding. This has been a very difficult experience over the last six months in this new position. I never knew co-workers could be so catty and manipulative for no reason. We're all still remote so I haven't even met some of them in person but they won't talk to me or include me in calls, etc. It all feels very depressing.

Ramon, stand tall and proud. You may just be a threat to them because of yourintelligence and because you are new there. Don't allow anyone to put you down

in order to make you into what they need.

Until you find that next job (and you will) tune into YouTube and listen to

Affirmation Meditation videos both before bed and in the morning.

It will instill in you your confidence and self esteem once more.

After a day with your negative co workers, allow these positive affirmations

keep you afloat. Good Luck, we're here to support you because we care :) xx

Ocd is a real struggle and can be debilitating as you described. I struggle with ocd leading to mental compulsions where I am fully emersed in thoughts for 8+ hours at time.... Is your OCD in this area related to your job? Is it particularly the job that gets you into this OCD loop? If not, and you are constantly finding yourself spiraling the changing jobs probably won't do that much. In that case I'd think working on the OCD would have the greatest effect. Of course change in scenery and some more energy and excitement that a new job brings would make you feel better to some extent.

Hi Bb - I don't have that much trouble with OCD outside of stressful situations like this. Sometimes I will think too much about things, but in general I'm ok. With a situation like this where I feel like I wake up with dread and fear and hate my job and worry about my livelihood in the future I get into the OCD loops where I worry that I said something stupid or someone perceived my behavior a certain way. I am seeing a therapist who told me to leave this job, but I'm still searching for another one, and after being in the same job previously for almost 7 years, change is very hard and I now worry that I won't be able to handle being in the work world anymore because it's too hard for me to cope with the pressure.

I hear. What about trying to find a job that is more relaxed and doesn't have deadlines or things that contribute to high stress.

Hi, well I can totally understand your situation. I know its difficult for you to deal with such people, I think they are jealous of you that is why they are trying to pull your leg but don't worry about them at all and ye si must say you should need to find another job, till then try to avoid interaction with them or you can go on leave and you can try different cope-up strategies. Otherwise, such types of environments put a negative influence on your mental health. A few years back I was also being bullied due to that I went into a depression so I tried different cope-up strategies and they worked really well for me. Please have a look at this ezcareclinic.com/handling-a... it might help you to deal with depression.
