Does anyone know of any places where I could go stargazing? I watch stars on a screen due to me living in an area where it's highly populated and lit up. I also need to travel more and enjoy life! There's so much to explore but also stargaze too lol

Stargazing
Hi BluueMoon, I see that you are in the U.S. as I am. I'd say anything east of theMississippi is not feasible because of the tall buildings and lighted cities.
Kansas may give you more open acres of land and darkness to appreciate stargazing.
I'm sure others on this site have found places to stargaze and have things to see
as well. I agree that we all deserve to enjoy life and not just exist. Let us know of your
travels once you find that perfect place to explore. xx
I don't live in the states but I am sure there are some great camping areas you can go to or national parks ? That's probably the best areas to go stargazing . Places where is this less pollution . Also if you are near any beaches . I don't know about you but hearing the waves at night is the most relaxing thing
Colorado! Look for dark sky places. They are protected. One is Mesa verde. I went last summer. It is really magical. I have never camped but I think great sand dunes is dark.you can also catch amazing lightening storms. Best sky I have ever seen is in mahuala Mexico. You have to stay outside the town and it may have been built up. Several years ago there was no light pollution and it was right on the ocean.
Any place desert or from the side of a mountain. In the middle of an ocean or sea.
I don't know where in the USA you are, but I'd go for anyplace rural. If there's a national forest, a national park, or even just a place remote enough to have a drop zone (for skydiving) you may have some luck. Some parks are designated International Dark Sky Parks so are ideal for stargazing.
