First post - so sad and lonely and empty

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here so hopefully I get it right. I’ve been reading some of the posts here and I totally relate. My life is so empty. I am so sad and lonely and empty all the time. I have no one. I’m stuck, and for many reasons can’t seem to do anything about it. Thanks for reading/listening

Hello, sorry to hear you are feeling this way. I too am extremely lonely and, in my particular case, isolated living so remotely in the country. I always try to put a very brave face on things but especially at this time of year getting so close to Christmas I tend to feel it the most as so much emphasis is grilled into you by TV and radio that this is such a special time for families and loved ones, I have no living family left and lost my wife to cancer in 2016 and my mum died in 2017 so it left me with no one. I have my 2 dogs to keep me company, but physical contact is virtually impossible where I live and as I hardly get out of my bungalow to talk to anyone, it kind of makes things so much worse. Most people on here will tell you my posts always cheer people up and I am always making posts to cheer people up from the usual misery, no pun intended. We all need to vent our problems, I try to especially, but it is often hard to be a set example all the time. People often tell me not to be so hard on myself, but when you have no one to opinionate yourself against the obvious solution is you pick holes in yourself. Well, I do anyhow. I just wanted to say hello and assure you, you are so not alone in feeling this way. I wish I could wave a magic wand and assure you it will get better, but you have to be real as we do not live in a peter pan world, I'm afraid. Thank you for reaching out to the community, though. Thanks for sharing some of your story. It’s makes me sad that so many of us struggle to find our way in this world. I am sorry for your situation, it sounds very difficult and challenging. Thank you for reaching out to me. I appreciate it more than you know

I agree with everyone posting you aren’t alone anymore because u joined this forum! Believe it or not it is truly a community! I’ve been on here for about a month or so and I keep coming back because you can get support, love, a joke or just say hello. And unlike some other forums (insta and FB) these are personal interactions not just posts of bragging stuff or political views etc. I really like it here - I hope you will too!!🍁🍂

Hi KJnOTT, thanks for your comments. I have tried professional help before but they just don’t seem to understand the depth of my situation. Their solutions all seem so shallow and surface, if you know what I mean. I’m looking forward to this community though.

Hi! I was so glad I found this community a few weeks ago. I come on here often. Posing my own questions but also respond to people if I can help. We are all in the same or similar boat. I just signed up for a yoga class with vaccine check. It was my first time in over a year stepping outside alone. I was so nervous but it was so nice. I wasn’t good at the class at all but it felt good to move and stretch. I do hope you can find something to connect. I’m here. I’m checking often. Feel free to chat. Take a deep breath.
