How to deal with spouse's negative statement.

anyway, my wife has depression.

this happened today. we try to walk in the evening every day. when we were walking, she told me that if we get divorced or something happens to her and she dies, i can get married again and have kids. she said that's what makes her happy. i heard about the same thing when she was suicidal before. so i asked if she has suicidal thoughts now, she said no. bur she said she's not feeling well recently. so i have to probably watch out again.

i know she cares about me a lot and wants me to be happy. probably her depression is speaking about negative feelings. but it hurts when she talks about negative things about future. i accepted her feeling and said ''yes i will do so if that's what you want. but that's worst scenario. i believe you can still get better. it's temporary feeling. we'll get through this together. depression doesn't last forever.'' Whenever she says something like this, i wonder if she is ever gonna get better. I feel really worried

i don't know what to do with this feeling. i get sad. i sometimes imagine if she's gone and it makes me cry. this is literally the hardest time in my life. thanks for reading
