Health anxiety very high right now

I had to go on a steroid for a rash on my face. Dr thought it could be from allergies and rosacea. I do poorly on steroids but made it through. I got a stye on my eyelid shortly after finishing them. Back to the doctor I went. Got a stye on the bottom eye lid the next day. So now I have a stye on the upper and lowered eyelid on the same eye. Started an antibiotic eye drop. Just finished it yesterday and both styes are still there though looking better. I have an eye doctors appointment tomorrow. I do not do well at the eye doctor. I can handle anything else. After applying a hot compress tonight, my eye has been blurry since. For some reason, this is really triggering for me. My eye has been getting blurry on and off for a couple of months now and it's why I scheduled with the eye doctor in the first place. Health anxiety really makes no sense. I am tired but can't sleep now.

Hi 👋 it’s Shnookie. So sorry 😐 that U R going thru these health issues. U R brave to reach out to the group. Tho U R not crazy about steroids U successfully went thru the process to clear up that situation. It’s understandable why U feel anxiety ridden going to the eye doctor. Please speak to the doctor about your concerns. I’m here 4 U. U can personally message me. Please keep us in the loop after the eye doctor appointment

Hugs 🤗 S ❤️🍀💪🌈🙏

Styes are terrible. Painful and they do affect your vision. Hope the eye doctor can help. I would be anxious too.

Thank you. I got gasoline in my eye as a child. This was in the 80s before they had the shut off feature. Ever since then, I have not done eye things well.

Many of us can relate to health anxiety and drs . You are going to be just fine. Picture yourself as an 80 year old woman, who is healthy. A way of positive thinking. The Wim Hof breathing exercises first thing in the morning before you get out of bed will help. And again during the day they only take 10 minutes. And the daily cold shower or bath is a game changer for me. 55-65 degrees water. And 30 minutes of daily cardio exercise to help burn off steam to help sleep. You are doing good!

I have chronic eye issues and had styes right after having tumors removed. My eye doctor told me warm water a drop or two of baby shampoo and take a q-tip and swab around it 3 times a day. Warm compresses or heat pack and it went away nicely. Good luck hope it is something easy. Gentle hugs🫂
