Hi ehhman, I read your profile that stated your headaches are due to Anxiety. As painful and chronic that it can become, they will eventually go away.
I too suffered from chronic tension headaches. Once I learned it was my anxiety/stress
causing the pain, I learned how to reduce the intensity as well as the number of them.
Acupuncture was one way, Physical Therapy which worked in releasing tight trigger points
and just plain ole breathing and relaxation meditation.
Proper posture needs to be looked at as well. When we are tense, our shoulders try to
touch our ears, our heads go forward causing undo tightness in the base of the head
and neck and shoulders. YouTube has some great videos that can teach you some
methods to reduce these headaches. I wish you well. xx
Thanks for the help! I wish you well too. I'll make sure to notice of my posture.
I forgot to mention but, I also have a headache even when laying down. Got any tips?
Sure do....Listening to Meditation videos on YouTube for Stress Headaches will helprelax those tight muscles while lying down.
Find a cool room, lower the lights sink into the mattress comfortably.
Allow your arms to be by your side, hands open and relaxed. Belly breathe slowly
in and exhale long and slow. It's the exhale that will allow you to feel the muscles relax.
If you wanted to you could place a cool washcloth across you forehead
and then just clear your mind and listen to the video of choice.
The more you do this, the more results will get better Breathe xx
ehhman here are 2 quiet/calming headache videos you can listen to on YouTube"Hypnosis for Headaches & Migraines" by Michael Sealey
"Meditation Headache Relief for Tension Headaches" by Generation Calm
Feel better my friend xx
I agree with meditation and really make sure to unclench your jaw. I think a lot of us with anxiety clench our jaw and that can cause headaches among other things. Anytime you think of it, check to see if it’s clenched and relax it.
