Does anyone know a good London therapist for BPD (borderline)?

I’m looking to go private to get help for my diagnosis and was wondering if anyone with BPD (borderline) or rejection sensitivity knows a good affordable therapist or therapy group in London or online in UK? I can’t wait for NHS waiting list to finish. It’s really hard to know who is good as there’s so many therapists out there and a lot are sharks. I don’t know anyone else with BPD so have no recommendations. I’ve asked my local team but they want me to stay with NHS and they know no one to refer me to privately. I’d very much appreciate any recommendations.

What is a DBT therapist? You might ask your medical doctor for some recommendations.

Thank you for your reply. It’s a therapy for disorder BPD. I’ve asked my doctor many times. They’ve referred me to something that’s NHS again not private, so really really long waiting list.

But, what is BDP? You can also call the national association for anxiety and depression. I think the names can be different depending on where you live. There are also usually national associations of psychiatrists. It can be a bit hit or miss though, and you might have to try two or three before you find one you like.

BPD is short for borderline personality disorder. DBT is short for Dialectic Behavioural Therapy. It is similar to CBT which is cognitive behavioural therapy. I know little about it but think it is more in depth than DBT and slightly different. This will be used in BPD as has been found to be more helpful.
