Had a good cry today. Why do I resist crying ? It helps. A release. I can still feel something, anything, even if it's sadness. A song triggered it. "Someone" by Aaron Lewis. After I cried, I realized I felt better. It actually inspired me to pick up the keyboard and play for the first time in months. I'm a musician but the music in me has been dormant for years. Have you ever felt so dead inside that the creative spark just flickered out? That's where I've been for a while. But, maybe, just maybe this song and a good cry was what I needed to reignite the flame.

A good cry
Sometimes a good cry is therapeutic. I try to be stoic too often. One thing that helps me is to watch a sad movie. I bawl my eyes out, but feel better. The last movie I watched was Hachi: a Dog's Tale. A dog's owner dies, but the dog shows up at the train station every day for years, waiting.
I'm glad your creative spark was re-ignited. I'm not very creative, but like playing around with words. Am dipping my toe in Creative Writing.
I do like to sing aloud for my own amusement. I have a voice with limited range I feel. Do you sing at all.if you do, what well- known songs suit your voice?..
I know I have replied to you before, but have forgotten your back story.
Motivation can be a regular problem with me. A different thing to feeling dead inside. I suppose l did feel that way about 6 years ago when I hit a low. A thyroid problem among other stuff was probably a factor at the time.
Do you think your feeling this way has a root cause?
However, once again, it is really good that today was a good day for you in that you made a breakthrough.
Thank you for the responses. I appreciate the feedback.
