I've had a good run with Paxil and Welbutrin in combining for PTSD related depression
There is no answer to that as we are all different so meds affect us differently. Your doctor will be able to recommend one but it's often trial and error so it can take time to find the best one for you.
Unfortunately, everyone reacts to meds soooo differently. You just have to do trial and error. Luckily, psychiatrists start on small doses though and can be fantastic at combining meds to get the perfect combo for you.
I’m on pristiq, buspar, Paxil, and Xanax (Xanax only as needed). It took a while to find that combo but like my psych said (after I complained about how many I was taking lol), psych meds aren’t meds that are meant to be taken alone. They work well with other meds to fill in all the gaps and needs you have.
So talk to a psychiatrist and see what works! It’s a process, but it’s worth it. Good luck! 💙
It’s trial and error. Everyone is different. Even if one does work. You still have to manage your anxiety or depression. There is no cure all unfortunately.
You might try taking a psychopharmacological genetic test to find out what meds are best suited for you genetically. Mine was from Genesight and there are other brands available. It will help take a lot of the guesswork and trial and error out of the med process. My test was paid for by my insurance. After taking a bunch of different meds that weren't working for me I did the test and started on Prisitiq which has worked.
