Curious about people’s experiences with cymbalta. I’ve struggled with focus and anxiety my whole life and I know that ADHD and anxiety/depression can have similar symptoms and symptoms that can be exacerbated by one another. I just had a meeting with my psychiatrist and she prescribed me cymbalta but I believe that an ADHD medication (vyvanse based on personal research and what friends who have been prescribed ADHD medication have reccomended) supplemented by an Antidepressent would be ideal. How do I go about explaining this to my psychiatrist/ what are your thoughts on this situation and cymbalta. Thanks!

Cymbalta is for anxiety and depression and also helps relieve nerve pain.

It relieved my symptoms of anxiety and depression but I did not like how I felt if I was late taking a dose (dizzy). I did not like to feel physically dependent on a medication.

I took Cymbalta for several years and I went off of it in December 2020. To tell the truth I'm sorry I stopped the drug because it really helped me. I'm taking Zoloft now and it doesn't seem to be as effective.
