Hi everyone I’m angel and I’m new here I’m really looking for someone to talk to and help me get through what I’m facing . I’ve been suffering from intense anxiety lately and it stemmed from a panic attack I had a few months ago. I’ve been really scared that It’ll happen again and while I worry about that i experience some physical anxiety symptoms and I’m always afraid that I’m dying or something is wrong with me . Can someone please reach out to me and help me get through this it’s really frustrating. Thank you

Looking for someone to talk to
Hi Angel, That first Panic Attack is how most of us developed a fear that it may happen again. I call that the "what if" fear that always plays in our mind. Just that thought alone can produce physical symptoms, the reason being because all anxiety starts with a thought.Of course, the thought is a lie, not reality but it produces enough fear in us in allowing the adrenaline to start rising.
Another thing is avoidance. Avoiding the place we may have had our first Panic Attack.
Anxiety tries to convince us that it was the place that caused it and not our mind.
When we allow these thoughts to become prevalent, we end up focusing on nothing but fear and our world gets smaller and smaller.
As terrible as these physical symptoms feel, you are not dying. It's just another lie coming from Anxiety. Angel, I am so happy that you came on this site today. Take our hands and
let us walk with you as we help you get through this journey. It doesn't have to be a lifetime sentence. Actually, you can have control over anxiety.
One of the ways is by accepting that Anxiety is not life threatening. Is not Catastrophic.
There are so many resources you can learn from which will alleviate your fears.
Take a look on YouTube when you get a chance. View the video from Dr. Claire Weekes'
theory on Acceptance. She was a world wide patient as well as doctor who wrote a book
on "Hope & Help for Your Nerves" (Book on Amazon)
Her videos on YouTube are Free and may help you start to understand what Anxiety consists of. Welcome new friend. I'm glad you are here. xx
Hello and welcome!!!! I have trouble with both severe depression and anxiety. I've never had a full blown panic attack, but I have come close. What really triggers my anxiety is being in line in a busy grocery store. I don't quite understand why I feel so uncomfortable, I try not to snap at the cashier but I can be irritable. Deep breathing is what helps me along with distracting my mind.
Hii and thank you so much for sharing that and I’m also so happy that you have never experienced a panic attack it’s not fun at all lol . I do understand how you feel when it comes to being in a crowded situation , I wish you all the best on the road to your recovery!
Oh dear, I think you are worrying yourself into a feedback loop, and you are worrying about worrying.
Please see your doctor..
Cheers, Midori
