Hi, I'm new here and from the UK, I suffer from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and GAD. I am finding it difficult to try and join a zoom group where people talk about what they suffer with. any suggestions would be appreciated?

Hi! Live in the US, have same mental health issues as you and a few more. Yes a zoom support group would be great! Zoom gives a 1/2 hour free, so maybe we could get a few people together and have a zoom. However I’m relatively new, and unsure if this is allowed.

Hi Tommmy , I'm in the UK & I've seen or even thought of a zoom group but then maybe cuz I was loving lockdown being on my own for over 95% of the time. You can always post here & people will answer you & hopefully give you insights into helping urself, OR u can start up a group UK based & get people to pop in. Mind you HU has a UK address . I think most folks would be afraid to show their faces as you can tell by the profile pictures they choose. Me I'm in a happy place within myself & so don't give a fuuuurk what others think. Maybe when people are happy with who they are they too will show their faces. I'm neither afraid or ashamed to admit I'm ill but I also have spent years on making me accept myself, love myself & realise I'm human like everyone else.

Sorry if I've gone off on a tangent but acceptance of U to urself is a very important part of mental wellbeing.

Where abouts do u live Tommmy? I'm in the West Midlands.

I'm just outside London. I find that there is information on talking and speaking about mental health but unless you are accepted there is no open discussions that could possibly be guided by a mentor. Thanks for your reply 🙏👍

I'm in the US I would love a zoom group. I unfortunately know nothing about starting one, but I will join if you get one going. It's a GREAT idea!!
