I can feel myself starting to withdraw from my family and friends. I’m having a hard time keeping myself under control especially with all the stress in my life. What do you guys do to keep your life on track?

I try to sign up for something I don’t feel like I can back out of lol.

Usually I pay for a handful of workout classes or personal training sessions bc I feel too guilty paying and scheduling then not showing up 😂

It helps me get back in the groove of being around people. I make new friends and start feeling more comfy around my current friends and family

It’s seriously the only thing that works for me lol I don’t want to waste the money and feel awful cancelling on my trainer. And I get fit lol it’s a win win 😂😂

Hello Queen143

Keeping occupied is easy, try to take a step back from the stress of daily life, if that’s possible, listen to music that you enjoy(what music do you enjoy) read books with a good story, where you have to use your imagination , taking you into another dimension, another time period, another World.

Watch videos on YouTube, there is so much to enjoy there, just type in any subject, and something relevant will appear.

Get out if you can, explore your local countryside, somewhere you have never been before!

Hoing that gives you some suggestions that may help you

👍🙂🌹🦋

Thank you! It’s been so long since I’ve picked up a book. I used to read all the time and i loved it. I definitely have to start reading again and get my mind on other things 😌

If you are not doing psychotherapy, I really encourage you to. IT's a safe space for you to just let all that shit out without judgement. Also, I know you must be tired of listening to this: but exercise. I can't seem to do that haha, but I've seen results in lots of people. Especially if you find something you really like, and don't worry if it doesn't look like "hard core" exercise like just going for a walk with your music or an audio book or grab a pair of roller skates and feel like a child. Find your thing and try to set a routine like, 2 times a week first month, then 3 times the second. It's about small and REAL goals.

hang in there

😊

Taking my dog out gives me both a sense of purpose and a routine. Plus I like seeing it when she's happy 🙂✌️

Building a support network is very important. This can be friends who understand what you are going though and are willing to listen to you or people who are trained in any number of mental health issues like a counselor on a telephone hotline a professional therapist, or there are 12 step groups for a number of issues. I attended one for years which was called AdultChildren of Alcoholic s You took a big step toward healing yourself by joining this support group perhaps you might want to check out a resource I gave you.

Hey Queen, you've already gotten some great tips. I'll share my recipe too. I journal for productivity (I got on the "bujo" fad a few years ago, check it out on youtube), I keep good sleep hygiene (w/ reading at night on my kindle--a backlit ereader has been an answer to prayer for me) and I do regular, light workouts. When I feel myself disconnecting, I'll use my journal to spill it all out and deconstruct "it" which helps me find a way "back".Hope that helps, don't give up searching for your own best strategies. Godspeed.
