Occassionally ADAA is asked by students working in the mental health field to post information/research studies/surveys in the community. Research is key to understanding mental health and ADAA supports those studying anxiety and depression. Please see below for more information if you would be interested in participating. Thank you.

My name is Esther Sebastián Liso and I am a PhD student at the UNED (The Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia). I am investigating by means of Artificial Intelligence, how we can automatically summarize relevant information from online health forums so that participants can find answers to their questions more quickly. Depression is part of my target diseases since I have suffered from it.

I have prepared a survey targeting depression in order to know what a potential reader of my summaries would be most interested in knowing. In other words, what information should an automatically generated summary contain to be informative for a subscriber.

I'm confident that survey answers from your members would significantly improve the quality of the summaries that I'll be working on. At the same time, I hope that the result of my work can be of use to those with mental health issues.

Please find a link to the survey here:forms.office.com/Pages/Resp...

Thank you!
