Mirtazapibe and venaxfline combo

Has anyone taken theses two together and had success with anxiety and motivation? I'm currently on 30mg of mirt and still suffering from anxiety especially in the morning and low mood? My consultant wants me to up mirt to 45mg before he will try another treatment plan including venaxfline and how long will the increase in mirt show any improvement if it's working? Value any experiences you could share with me x

Hello, I am currently on 45mg of mirtazapine at first I felt the best I had in a long time. However I’ve had more bad days than good this past few months so from tomorrow I am being tapered off them and starting venlafaxine. I have heard of the 2 working together though. I really hope you start to feel better soon.

I think it’s about 9 months now? I thought they were great at the start, infact the first night I started them I slept through the night for the first time in years. I still sleep well but my anxiety has been coming back every few weeks for longer periods each time. Have you been on them long? You are never alone no matter how bad things get always remember we are all on the same journey. Are you in the uk? I don’t know anyone who is on the both medications (I’m in uk) I think the combination is called California rocket fuel, funny name lol x

Yes, I've heard that too, bi of a scarey name!! I've only been on them for2 months, 15mg to start with, then 30 and I' m going up to 45 next week? I still have bad morning anxiety and don't really think the mirt is dealing with that but she wants to try the 45 as a treatment plan before she changes anything but venaxfline has been mentioned by her as a good combo so will just have to wait it out, trouble is that's drugs take time to work so you don't really know where you are plus I'm finishing citalopram next week before the increase in mirt so maybe that is causing more anxiety! Yes, I live on the Wirral in uk, stay in touch, would love to hear how you get on with the transition if you don't mind? ❤️

I am currently on quitiapine 25mg for really bad intrusive thoughts, I can take it twice a day but I only take it in the morning. Once you are off the citilopram the mirtazapine may work better? It’s just the in between that’s so hard but the way I see it we can’t feel any worse so may aswell try and hold on until things level out. I will definitely keep in touch & if u ever need/want a gab I’m here ❤️xx

I hear you.I am with mirtazapine as well for more than 2 years now but my morning anxiety and low mood always there as soon as I open my eyes in the morning.It is not the severe anxiety and depression but it makes me tired just going through the day.I used to be a very driven and hard working person but now just thinking about going back to a work place makes me feel anxious and everwhelmed.This feeling inside me that makes me feel like i am not comfortable with my own skin.Sending you peace and comfort and hope that we can find these two very soon.

Yes Mikoy, I can relate to that, I feel like I have lost my drive and just like you I was very self motivated but that seems to have disappeared on mirtazapine,I just hope it gets better? X

Maybe it's time to try another medication Mikoy? Venaxfline is supposed to be really good for morning depression and anxiety and I believe they can combine both? So hope you can find some help, sometimes I feel lost and just want to be me again but I'm staying positive and hoping I will get stable, big hugs and take care Mikoy x
