I wish I had a magic solution, but all I can do is tell you what I do. Get up. Pray. Read Scripture. Take a lukewarm shower. Brush my teeth. Put on under eye concealer. Drink water. Get ready for work.

I know the feeling of being almost frozen in bed. Of wanting to keep those eyes tightly closed. Of wishing for more sleep to wash over and save me from the day. I know the feeling of chest pain, body aches, and racing heart. Of the strong yearning for stillness and peace. Of the constant exhaustion. I know that and more.

I also know that I must rise.

I relate so much to this. I want to sleep and when I wake up I want everything to be ok. But it isn't. Sometimes I wonder how long one can hold on.

Just remember that you are not alone. You are not the only one, and we will survive the struggle together. Hugs.

Thank you!

Does it just last in the morning and then you are free from anxiety? My hypothesis is that your sleep is not totally restful so you are not waking up fully refreshed, so you feel disturbed.

Just set a routine get up early, make your bed and Get ready. And if your stuck at home take those steps and add more little things can bring you some accomplishment and to do something that create a feeling of productiveness. It Can be a small task or project than can make you feel accomplished by finishing what you started . That emotion will be contagious and you can control your own pace or action so you can at least get out of that funk feeling

Much more succinct way of saying what I tried to. Spot on. This works in little wins. Great post buddy

Wonderful. The days I can succeed with your plan do give me tiny wins. Boy that's a big deal!

Hey, I'm struggling like hell rite now through my anxiety, it's really really bad rite now because I quit drinking two weeks ago and stopped smoking, I feel weak, fatigue, light headed, heavy neck, all of it, this hadn't happened since 2013 ,I mean I feel like shit! I think in my head I'm really dying of some illnesses. I know deep down this will eventually go away, I mean I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin too. I'm here with you my friends.

Keep going forward. Even slowly in time the knowledge of how you have managed the drink and cigs will empower you sooooo much. Trust me. You are detoxing. Don't give up. It will be worth it 100%

I 100% support what BigHam said. You are detoxing and that's an awful time. Been there. Done that. You decided to do something great for yourself and it has a bad price -- to start with. Time does help. If it gets bad enough don't give up, ask a doctor for help. I did it all alone and I wish I knew better then.

Meanwhile take care of your body. Hydrate. Eat well. Sleep.

Get up!It might sound impossible, I might sound cruel.

But I spent months and months lying in bed shaking and feeling sick for ages, just hoping I would fall asleep again and it would go away, but it never did.

So one morning I just got up, I made a cup of tea and put the TV on for distraction.

I'm not saying I felt great on that first day, but I felt better quicker. And now I can still have a bit of a bad morning, but I don't lay in bed anymore.

Try it! Best wishes xx

It's tough. Guess we are at our most open when we first wake you as the to do list fills rapidly or the nothing to do list stretched endlessly, it would've too easy to get back under the duvet. Which in turn stresses. I try routine and direction. I list my immediate to do list: rise, make bed, make breakfast, get washed & dressed. Only focus's bg on thesrm on the immediate. Then ad this ngs get done I add the next ones: chores, travel, family etc. Small wins to take strength from. In time I usually drop doing this as the day's momentum balances my worries. Not failsafe or perfect. But might help a little. Don't be hard on yourself x

There will be mornings full of terrible anxiety. I've had many and they're terrible. Do something nice for yourself when you drag yourself out of bed. Fix your hair.

Then there will be better ones. Maybe you'll start to notice a connection between the better ones and what's different. That won't be an overnight fix, but it sure feels great.

Fear that your "health will not hold up" is pretty normal when you're anxious. Do you think seeing a doctor about your health concerns might lessen this fear? Every fear you knock down is a big deal!

You can try these thing Peachiegirl:

My trust in God helped me with my depression in the past. It took a while, but I had good friends that talked and sat with me during the hard times. I read my bible and prayed too. If you are going to read the bible, Psalm 23 is a good chapter to begin with. Or you can take a walk with friends and leave the confines of a home or building and just getting out in the sun really helps. Also, try to identify what is making you anxious in the morning and journal. If you don't get enough sleep that can drive anxiety up or if you're drinking too much caffeine. I hope that you feel better.
