I have had anxiety for most of my life that I can recall-and have been on an SSRI since I was 18. I recently (2months ago) started to have breakthrough anxiety and panic attacks due to being back in school. I have tried everything I can to make them go away but they won’t. So I decided to call my doc and she switched me from celexa 20mg to Zoloft 100mg—has anyone ever done this direct switch? I feel way more anxious than I should with some other not so lovely GI s/e. I just want to feel better and feel like myself again ;(

SSRI's and SNRI's can take up to a month to reach their therapeutic level. You should start getting a sense of that after a couple of weeks. Getting back to yourself, unfortunately, takes time.
