I used to have that. Especially when I was young and had a whole life to live still. That was around the time I started having panic attacks, which pretty much feel like you're dying! Fortunately I was able to get medicated for that eventually. It took years, but eventually I was able to find a psychiatrist who would prescribe what I'd known for years was the basic treatment for panic disorder.

That constant fear of death went awat before that, though. I think it was kust having lots of things to live for and going for my dreams that helped me survive my worst years of depression and anxiety. I convinced myself that if I was so hyper-focused on fear of death, there was no point being afraid of anything else! So I stopped being afraid & withdrawn. That helped enrich my life to the point that for a time my psychological issues faded into the background.

I have this I have for a long time. I try to distract myself too but you're right. It doesn't do much. I'm on meds and have a therapist. It helps a little. I wish I had more to offer you except to tell you that you are not alone. I also try to just keep my eyes open and look for the little things to enjoy. Best to you.

I have the same thoughts and fear. It’s a tough, horrible thing to get through and mine has been so much worse lately!! You are not alone & you will get through this. Just being grateful for every second that you’re alive is the only thing you can do. Do you try to pray? Meditate? Do yoga or Anything to occupy your mind??
