I got my second shot 2 wks ago. Ever since then my neck & back have been killing me. Some days worse than others. Overall I can't stand for more than 5 mins at a time. Walking is a problem 'cause sometimes my right leg will just up & quit on me. Does this have something to do with the vaccine? Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone hear of this?
Please call your doctor. I took the liberty of googling your symptoms. There’s a thing called Gillian Barre that can sometimes crop up after vaccines and cause some muscle weakness. It’s treatable and everything, and usually goes away of course, but it’s definitely something you’d want to get treated properly. (Not something to ignore). I’m not a doctor, so feel free to ignore me completely. Also, someone else chime in if I’m way off base.
Thank you for going to so much trouble for me. I'm truly touched. I do feel a bit weak. I just wrote it off as age. I will call doctor. Thank you again. Will keep you updated. 🐿️🌻💙
No, I don't think you are off base. It was good of you to catch these symptoms. Pinkie does need to call her doctor immediately. It sounds like she will.
In my life I've been through countless hurricanes (from LI NY), tornadoes, earthquakes, house fire, broken water main, frozen pipes so bad it took them 3 wks to fix it, fallen off horses more times than I'm willing to admit, 4 husbands, 1 near fatal car accident, loads of nowhere near fatal car accidents, been in a coma, been bitten by a dog, broken arm, broken hip, broken back, cracked ribs & twice I was told that I should not have survived that illness. I am not about to let a stupid side effect undo all the work I've done so far. Staying alive is, apparently, what I do best. Luv ya all!
How you doing, Pinkie56? Feeling any improvement?
How very kind of you. I think so. No wait. I do feel better. I just noticed the migraine is gone. Funny how you don't notice until someone asks. The back is better but every once in a while I get a twinge to remind me I'm not a teenager anymore. lol. I went up to the farm on Sat. & today my friend Cathy came by. I met her at the social club I belong to. She works the phone on the Warm Line & I do the data entry for them. Since the lockdown the phone operators have been trying to do the data entry as they were already in the building. But May 4 we open our doors to limited number of people. I get to go back to work. And miracle of miracles Cathy & her husband Jim (a very cool guy) pooled their savings & stimulus checks & bought a house just over a mile from my house. Oh and they also bought a car. Since most of my friends are on disability a scant few of us have cars. Most of us are not allowed to drive for a variety of reasons. Cathy said that I could carpool with her this way I could work more hours. Yay! I need the funds as I had an unexpected expense over the winter. Jim is a very cool dude. He is a local dj at night & during the day (before the lockdown) was a chef at the bagel shop on Main St. Bagel shop is a misleading name they do full on catering & have an awesome menu. The shop is a very popular eatery in town. Well it was before lockdown. But they're letting us back into restaurants & I've heard rumors that mask laws are going to be lifted. I'll keep my mask thank you very much. Oh I forgot Jim also has an online business. He makes homemade organic cat nip toys. Grows his own catnip. Sews his own designs. So cool.
I think I'll call the doctor & say how things were but are getting better do they need to see me anyway. They'll probably say yes. My aid is away for 2 weeks (her son is having surgery for his enlarged heart) so I'll have to take a cab. I haven't done that in over a year. Can I ride on the roof?
