Welcome, Browder90! There are a ton of techniques that people have shared on here. I’ll let them share their unique ones. For me, I’m socially anxious in situations like parties, and so I plan my exit strategy ahead of time. (What will i say, how will I graciously leave, etc. )
Hello there. I don't really have any advice, remember a lot of us are struggling on here in one way or another and none of us are expert psychologists or anything like that. I know maybe it seems cliche, but be yourself and maybe make an effort to reach out to someone who's being friendly to you. Seems to me like too many people these days, young and old, are getting way too obsessed with their smartphones and not noticing the people around them. That's just what I see anyway.
As someone who had social anxiety for years I recommend the DARE Program for anxiety and no i'm not getting paid by them. It's inexpensive and incorporates information and advice from a lot of good sources and will teach you how to start dealing with it. The app for your phone is great, too.
