My son has not gotten any better he is still hearing voices the meds don't help him. Plus he never receives good outpatient care. I have told them what I think will help him. I am so tired of this I am worn out. I can't do this much longer.

My son
Hello friend. I am sorry to hear what you are going through. When someone we love is suffering, it's really painful. When it's concerning mental health it's even more painful since people don't really understand it. As someone suffering from mental illness myself, I can relate. From what I understand, your son is still continuing to have symptoms. Meds can take time to act. Moreover there are many meds out there that can help. So if this medicine doesn't help him, his doctor might change his medication. DON'T WORRY. He will get better. I myself am on medication but my symptoms have not completely disappeared either but it takes time. STAY STRONG. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
He said he is tired of taking meds etc
You could try to tell him that it takes time for meds to act. Also encourage him with doing things he likes to do so that he will learn to enjoy life and take his mind away from his suffering. You can tell him about people like me who are on medication and are not entirely symptom free but continue taking our medication anyway.
Do you think he needs stronger meds to get rid of the voices ?
I dont know cause he's been on a few
