Good Morning my Friends!

I have loved Eric Claptons music and story for almost 50 years. I've seen him in concert w/his friends several times.

I watched/explored his story in greater detail yesterday through documentary on "Showtime". I've known of and supported his recovery efforts , antiqua and some of his story. WOW this film went into the sad details of his addictions to herion, alcohol, George Harrisons wife and his extreme isolation. As well as tragic accidental death of his son Connor and subsequent recovering in his aged condition. OMG - brought me to tears, sadness, empathy, Nostalgia and Gratitude. If you are at all interested in addiction recovery and or rock n roll / blues his story will knock your socks off. In his latter days his connection to "The Divine " becomes obvious and real. OMG 😲 one not to miss.

Everyone have a Fabulous Day. Remember- You Are Loved....

Thanks for the heads up. Luckily I found it. As soon as I wake up from my nap, I’m going to watch it. Saw a lot of other docs I’ll be watching, too. ❤️

So true. His childhood trauma was clearly explained in this film.

His time with Cream is probably my favorite musical period of his.

I saw him at Crossroad festival in old Cotton Bowl Stadium back in early 2000.

So so many greats at that gathering. In this film that concert is shown and discussed. Also saw him later in his recovery at Irwin Center. Sad bout Jack Bruces passing.

Growing old n passing just happens. 🙄

That is way Cool.I've grown up in Austin, Tx a hippie as well. Its the new Nashville

I don't like Eric Clapton so much he had a girlfriend called Alice who died of a heroin overdose in a bedsit after he moved on to someone else , he could've helped her , you have a romantic view of him don't make out he is an innocent victim

You misunderstand my interest.I'm not trying to get people to like him. Have your view.

He did many many horrible things.

No one on earth is innocent nor perfect. We all screw up in varying degrees.

This movie shows his anger underneath his addiction. His awful behavior and terrible treatment of others.

Many people on this site struggle with the realities of a past also very ugly.

In this quite accurate documentary it is shown how a shell of a human cleaned up and found redemption in helping others. Truth .

Please you are certianly entitled to your opinion.

Thank you
