Spravato / ketamine infusion anxiety

I was wondering if anyone tried this for anxiety and hoe long the effect lasted...it seems to be an option for me to get rid of cripling anxiety .... hope someone can share some insight..

Ketamine! Isn't that a dangerous thing for people? Please let us know more cause you've got me concerned.

Nah... they use it now for alternative AD medication... seemingly rapid effects!

So far I have had 2 infusions and I am now noticing a difference. A licensed psychiatrist administers it per NIMH protocols.

Good for you! Do you really need an extra antidepressant with it as well? Or do you just take the sprays?

So far it has just been infusions. I take 80 mg Prozac Am and 25 mg Seroquel Pm which helped me for 6 yrs. Then I was diagnosed with RA and also had a major spine surgery to prevent paralysis. So the current meds were not strong enough. I hope the 6 week course of infusions will restore me to health

Ketamine is used as a sedative, mostly for animals now adays. But there's been some experimentation with it at low doses for some mental health issues like depression, suicidality, anxiety, etc. It's still considered experimental and most insurance companies won't cover it. I tried it a few years back. It was infused of course once every other day across 2 weeks time for total of 6 initial treatments. It cost me $500 per each infusion, total $3000 out of pocket cost. But, I was desperate to try anything new. It was weird but seemed to help a little bit for a short time. I don't think it's worth that much$ for as little as it helped. I wouldn't do it again but you never know until you try. I think much more research needs to be done.
