Fear is what's making you anxious.

Anxiety is the reaction towards danger. There's no real physical danger we are facing now, all the danger is something we imagined within ourselves. That's to say anxiety derives from fear.

The solution is straightforward then, face what are you fearing, running away won't do any help, only to make things worse. Face it and deal with it, don't procrastinate. It will get sorted at some point.

I have spent my whole life scared, frightened of things that could happen, might happen, might not happen. Fifty years I spent like that—finding myself awake at three in the morning. But you know what?I came to realize it's that fear is the worst of it, that's the real enemy. So, get up, get out in the real world and you kick that bastard as hard as you can, right in the teeth.
