Question regarding dosage increase

Hello everyone,

I am would like to know if any of you have had any experience with going from going to a 5 mg Lexapro to 10 mg? I have been on 5 mg for the last three weeks and of course the side effects at first sucked but I am doing much better. Since my anxiety is still there my Dr has increased the dosage to 10 mg. I want to know if the side effects are going to be bad or not since I have already been on 5 mg. Any advice on this would be great.

My doc put me on propranolol and Buspirone and a mood stabilizer should help. It has helped my anxiety and might help yours. I was diagnosed as bi polar. I hope this helps

Hi MRAnxious123, I'm on Lexapro myself and for me it has been a great med.

When I did my increases, it wasn't bad because you already have the drug in you

and so within days the medication equalizes and you start feeling better. Good Luck xx

Thank you so much for the response. I was on Lexapro before then got off and restarted again as my anxiety came back. I started off on the lower dose this time around so I wasn't sure what to expect with the increase. This helps a lot.
