Has anyone taken Effexor for anxiety?

I took effexor for over 20 years. It works well for anxiety. It does have side effects, so make sure you are aware of them before you take it.

Do you use any other methods to help with your anxiety? Like CBT or mindfulness or breathing techniques?

I just started seeing a therapist yesterday. I hope something changes soon. I am taking xanax. But would like some other medication that is safer.

I hope therapy went well. Ask your therapist for some CBT methods to help you cope with you panic.

As I said I was on Effexor for 20 years and it worked really well. The only reason I am not still on it, is because I felt I was strong enough to cope with my panic without medication.
