Nervousness and anxiety

Hi,

I have nervousness, like this physical nervousness especially in my chest - this tightness in my chest whenever i'm doing social activities - such as going to class, talking in groups, talking to my professor, and even going out to meet my friends or relatives.

Why do I always get this tightness in my chest, this nervousness? It must be my anxiety. But how can I make it go away without medication?

I hate feeling nervous all the time!!

I get this too!! It bothers me so much.

There are certain things that can calm you if it’s mild anxiety but I’m not sure.. yours sounds a bit more than mild.

Deep slow breathes can trick your brain into calming you down and slowing down your heart beat because it believes you are at ease.

You can also ask yourself questions when you get anxious.. such as.. “am I in any real danger right now?” “Are people going to do something bad to me, if not, why do I feel this anxious”

Chest pain is always a concern for me. I’d recommend an ekg. Not saying you have anything wrong but you always want to be safe? Or is it just tightness?
